Most people understand what an Energy Audit is in general terms.  A Comprehensive Home Assessment is similar, but as its name suggests, it offers a whole lot more.

As its name implies, an energy audit looks at where your energy (and money!) goes.  They can vary from a quick visual inspection to detailed measurements.  There is value in any inspection, but obviously the more information that is gathered, the better the results will be.

Energy audits have been around for a while, but it has taken us longer as a nation, and some mistakes,  to understand that the energy performance cannot be looked at separately from the rest of the house.  We have to make sure that one step forward in one area does not lead to two steps back in another.
